The Democratic National Committee, according to CNN, is currently coming up short on the funds needed to finance the 2008 convention in Denver, CO. by an estimated $15 million.

Last week, Denver city auditor Dennis Gallagher sent a letter to Mayor John Hickenlooper saying taxpayers are concerned they may get stuck with the tab if Denver can’t come up with another $15 million by Monday.

The convention will happen of course, now the question is where is the rest of the money going to come from?
