According to the Huffington Post and the NY Times, Tim Russert has died at the age of 58 of a heart attack. Russert is most notably known for being the host of Meet The Press on NBC.
Russert apparently suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed at the NBC Washington bureau according to sources.
MSNBC is now breaking some of the further details. You can read Tim Russert’s bio here.
Certainly a sad loss for the media and political world. I enjoyed watching MTP every single Sunday and always looked forward to Tim asking the tough questions, when nobody else would. Thoughts go out to the entire Russert family.

1It was sad to hear of Mr. Russerts passing, and I am sure that the feelings that are shared about him cross even the most ardent Party Lines.
Thanks for the quick post, as I was reading blogs when you posted your news of Mr. Russerts passing. Sad news but great response time Cory.
