I have received several emails from people over the last few days about the fact that there are John McCain ads running on this site. People continue to wonder why I would allow John McCain ads on a progressive blog. Well, I will tell you why….

Because he is funding the progressive movement.

It is costing his campaign money to run those ads and I certainly don’t mind the ads being on my site, helping me pay for operating costs, while also taking money from his campaign with no return on that money.

Now granted, those ads are only generating a few bucks a months but it is the principle that matters. If I make $100 a month off John McCain ads on this site, then he has funded the progressive movement with another $100.

The majority of people that visit this site, are never going to vote for John McCain anyway, so the ads are really not hurting progressives in any way that I can see.
