A top adviser within the Barack Obama campaign says that Obama is open to the idea of helping Hillary Clinton pay off her estimated $20 million campaign debt, according the Bloomberg.

While Obama cannot directly pay the debt for Clinton, per campaign finance laws, Obama could hold fundraising events and ask his supporters to donate to Clinton in an effort to pay of the debt.

This would likely be another step to help unite the party and get the Clinton’s out on the trail to support Obama for the general election.
