A new Pew Research Poll was released today, showing Obama narrowly beating out John McCain 47% to 44% nationwide.
Probably the most interesting part of the entire poll is this:
“Obama’s slipping image is in some measure a negative reaction from frustrated Clinton supporters. Currently, just 46% of those who support Clinton for the nomination say the party will unite behind Obama if he is the nominee.”
I tend to believe that when this is all said and done, Obama will get the support he needs from Clinton supporters, and they will unite behind him and the party.
Once Obama and McCain really face off, I think you will see the clear differences between the two, and Obama will emerge by a much wider margin than people expect.
Even Rupert Murdoch is predicting a Democratic landslide in November. That should be a sign of just how nervous the GOP are really becoming, as it becomes clearer and clearer that they will be facing Obama in the Fall.
