Rupert Murdoch, Chief Executive of News Corp., made a prediction on Wednesday that may surprise some of his faithful Fox News followers.

Murdoch, according to Reuters, said he predicts a Democratic landslide in the November election, saying that the country is facing some hard times and uncertain circumstances.

“You have probably the making of a complete phenomenon in this country,” Murdoch said in describing what he predicted will be a sweeping victory for Democrats in November.

Some evidence of this sweep has already taken place, with the Democrats winning in 3 key races throughout the year already, and several more key Senate and House races looking promising for the Democrats.

The Democrats are also using an interesting strategy to paint John McCain as a “Bush Third Term”. While it is unclear as to whether this tactic will hold water, some in the Democratic party seem to think that it will resonate with voters who are truly looking for change in America.

As for Murdoch, despite his Republican leanings, I think he clearly knows a winner when he sees one. As much as I despise Fixed News and everything they stand for, I can at least agree with Murdoch that this November is going treat the Democratic party very well.
