Ok, not really! But he might, if we keep using it to catch him in lies and double-talk.
Mr. McCain, aboard the Double Talk Express, has been blasting Barack Obama for the last few days about the idea of meeting with and talking with Hamas and other foreign groups.
Well, well, well, just look at what has surfaced on the YouTube…
That’s right, Mr. McCain on video implying that he would meet and talk with foreign groups.
From an interview just two years ago, McCain was asked about the very subject.
I asked: “Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?”
McCain answered: “They’re the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it’s a new reality in the Middle East. I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and decent future, that they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that.”
Mr. McCain, are you actually saying that you were for meeting with Hamas before you were against it?
I am sure this is a sign of much more of the double-talk that we have to look forward to in this general election.
