Posted by Cory Perry as Barack Obama, Election 2008, Hillary Clinton, Primary News
***Update*** - This post is according to ABC News only. I have found no other major news sources as of yet that are saying that Obama has gained the superdelegate lead, although it is all over the blogosphere this morning!
Sen. Barack Obama has now officially taken the lead in the superdelegate count for the 2008 Democratic primary nomination.
This is the last straw that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton had left to pull, and it is now gone. Obama now leads in all viable metrics for the race including popular vote, states won, pledged delegates, and now superdelegates.
Current Count:
Obama - 267
Clinton - 266
Not sure how long this will last, as the numbers change almost daily but it is certainly sign of increased momentum for Obama and he is clearly on his way to wrapping this thing up.

1If this is true it is great. Now we can start the healing and get on with getting a Democrate in the White House. I hope everyone can pull together and make this happen. I know that Hillary wanted to win but she did not, make all of us woman proud and go out like a lady.

2@twinoftwins:
It appears to be true according to ABC News. Several blogs including DailyKos and Huffington are reporting it as well.
I think it is going to happen regardless anyway.

3I feel that regardless of who wins, We all need to start looking at the bigger picture which is healing the DEM Party and get a DEM in the white house and heal the country.
