Mark Nickolas has posted an interesting piece today and his idea has been on my mind all morning long.

Could we now see John Edwards as Obama’s VP? That would seriously rule as I have always been a huge fan of John Edwards. Not only is he from Seneca, SC (about 15 minutes from me), but Edwards has always ran on a platform that I found very compelling. His message of change in Washington fits right in with Obama and would make a really good general election platform.

As Mark points out in his piece, John Edwards could certainly help Obama shore up the white, blue-collar voters that seem to have been his only thorn in recent contests.
