Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign has released a new advertisement criticizing Hillary Clinton for her ridiculous “gas tax holiday”.

First of all, the gas tax holiday first proposed by John McCain, and now Hillary Clinton, will not work.

Even people within the Clinton campaign say it will not work, along with scores of experts and economists that have looked into the proposal.

Next, even if by some odd chance that it were a good idea, it will never get through Congress. President Bush is not going to give the go ahead and Congress will never pass something this insane, given the research and opinion that is out there against it.

Furthermore, if we make the oil companies pay for this tax break, who do you think will pay for it in the end? The American people will. The oil companies will simply roll that money right back into the price of oil and we will be right back at square one, with no solution to the problem.

I like to call this Political Hackery, because that is exactly what it is. Sen. Clinton is once again pandering for votes with the idea that she can make Obama appear out of touch with working class people.

And on another note, when has it ever been a good idea to take a John McCain proposal and run with it??
