A new story by the Huffington Post has emerged that sounds really familiar to another story that has been plastered all over the news the last few days.
Remember when Barack said people were “bitter”?
Well, in 1995, it appears that Mrs. Clinton also had a few choice words for white, working class Americans in those same small towns:
“Screw ‘em,” she told her husband. “You don’t owe them a thing, Bill. They’re doing nothing for you; you don’t have to do anything for them.”
Odd don’t ya think? Given that for the last several days she has been out on the trail standing up for working class folks, telling them they are not bitter, but optimistic and ready for change. She has been telling the stories of her family in middle America that would never cling to guns or religion out of bitterness, but as a tradition that has helped them through life.
While I doubt this will get picked up by anyone for any length of time, it is worth noting that these statements, I believe, are far worse than those of Obama, who was simply making a valid point.
