Well, Politivine.com has been online for almost a whole month and things have been going well. The site has progressed quicker than I thought it would, yet not as good as I would like it to.
I have received feedback both good and bad from all sorts of people, and I have been able to steadily keep people checking out the site and seeing what I have to say about the political world. Thanks to everyone that has visited the site, subscribed to the feed, and commented on some of the recent articles that I have posted.
I knew that launching a political blog would be easy, but keeping people interested in it would not be. With some many other political blogs out there, it can be hard to gain readership. Things have been going well for this first month, but I know there are other things that I need to be doing in order to grow the site in readers and popularity.
Month one highlight
Without a doubt, the shining moment of this first month was when this site (and myself) were called out on national satellite radio by Mike Church, host of the Mike Church show on Sirius channel 144. He talked about me and the politivine.com for about 20 minutes one morning on his show, after I emailed him to express my opinion about him and his show.

What’s on tap from here
My goal with the site moving forward is to write more engaging content. I think any political discussion needs to be had by multiple sides and views, and I would like to get people more engaged in the content that I write for this site. One thing that I have noticed here is that very few (if any) people leave comments on my articles. This is something that I really want to change, as I feel that people engaging in conversation about issues and articles here will always end up with constructive debate.
So please, if you find an interesting article here on politivine.com, please comment on it.
I am also looking into writing more original content. Often times, I take stories that are buzzing in the news and give my take on it. I think this works fine but is really nothing more than recycling what is already out there.
I would like to instead write more original content based on some of the current buzz in the political world. I want this site to be based on opinionated analysis, not merely just recycling of the news with an opinion attached to it. So, look for some more original content coming from me from here on out. I need to mix things up just a bit better and I think that writing more original content, along with giving an opinion on the current news will be a good mix for the site.
Again, Thanks to everyone that has checked out the site so far. I am certainly still learning a lot about the blogging world, and the political world at the same time. I appreciate the comments so far, and I hope that you will continue to check us out in the future.

1I am very concerned about Obama being the president. You are raised that you are the company you keep. This has been tested and it is true. How long can a person hang out with a drug addict before they become one? Obama has not told WHO he is when a person surrounds themselves with racial hatred and terrorist for 20 years you really think how much of that has he absorbed? I am in fear of my countries safety and my families.
I know that I am new to all of this but who decided that those people who are delegates matter more than the average american people. What makes them special that only their votes really count. Both Clinton and Obama has charged up the votes of the american people they should be the ones to decide not the delegates. Millions of voters but only 2118 mattered. With the gas prices has high as they are and the economy in such distress why should anyone waste their gas to cast a ballot why spend out all the money to run the race. Why don’t the deligates skip the pony show and millions of dollars wasted and decide it theirself?
I have been told all my life there is no reason to vote the “big” people decided it anyway I never got involved the only reason I watched religiously on T.V. this year was the first African American and first Female to run I was coureous. However all those people whom said why bother its “fix” anyway after seen how the Dem. party conducted themselves I believe that to be true.
You are going to do whatever you want to do anyway why bother?
