The Barack Obama campaign released six years worth of tax returns today, in an attempt to underscore their argument against Sen. Hillary Clinton, as to why she will not release her returns.

The tax returns appear pretty normal, with the majority of Sen. Obama’s income coming from his book deals. Income is also reported from his State Senate position and his U.S. Senate position. His wife, Michelle, also reported her income as an employee of a Chicago area hospital.

So, Mrs. Clinton, where are your tax returns?

Why has it taken so long to process and release the returns, it sure didn’t take Obama very long to do it? I can only assume that if you continue to deny the release of these returns, then you are hiding something, period. There is no other way to look at it. The returns are already prepared from when you filed them, so there should be no reason not to do a simple copy of the documents and PDF those puppies up for us.

Why Obama released his records

Sen. Obama is honest and has vowed to run an honest, transparent campaign. Again, this is just one more reason why I support Barack Obama for President. Obviously, he has nothing to hide as far as his income goes, and was clearly open to releasing his tax records, something that for some mysterious reason, Hillary Clinton will not do.
